Chris Craft Cruisers

The Chris Craft Boat Company actually was started by Christopher Columbus Smith way back in the 1800`s. Amazing as it is the company has weathered through many years and have manufactured and developed many new boats over the years. From Sailboats to War Ships this company has made them all.

Chris Craft started making Cruisers in the 1960`s. The Chris Craft Sports Cruiser was 35 feet long and was produced from 1969 through 1972. It was crafted with a fiberglass hull. They also made the Chris Craft Sports Cruiser in a longer 42 foot version and in a 47 foot version during the same time period. The name of Chris Craft was synonymous with speed and quality.

Chris Craft Cruisers had their hull number inscribed on the inside of the hull on the port side. These were covered with a resin mixture to keep them intact. You can research the boat by this hull number and make sure it is an authentic Chris Craft Cruiser. A hull number is similar to a VIN number for a car.
You can still find vintage Chris Craft Cruisers on the water today. These boats were made to last. With proper care and maintenance you can use your Chris Craft Cruiser for many years. Take the time to go over the Chris Craft Boating Manual too. This will give you advice on the care and maintenance of your Chris Craft Cruiser.
